  • Finding a GOOD dealer

From the looks of things on the Washington State site it appears that their isn't a lot of activity or maybe most folks just don't post on the individual states. Anywho I just moved to WA (Salmon Creek) area about 2 months ago and would like to say Hi. While I probably do 80% of my own maintenance, repairs, etc. I do have a need for a GOOD dealer for any recalls or work that I may not be able to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've been able to sneak a ride in between raindrops but I'm really looking forward to the better weather to really explore the State. One other question my dealer from where I moved had no problem mounting new tires that I purchased off the Internet. I would remove my wheels and carry them in with my new tires. Is that a no-no here?

    Hey Road Rat.

Sorry but I can not be any help for your dealer inquiry for your area. I live in the Puget Sound area. My recommendation would take you too far north.

As to tire replacement, I might suggest Cycle Gear. I do my own tire replacement so I can not confirm them as a vendor to use but I have heard of others that have had pleasant dealing with them. You could locate one in your area and give them a call. Cycle Gear Vancouver, 11505 NE Fourth Plain Blvd, Vancouver, Washington 98662 Tel.: 360-253-8484

Thanks Mike I appreciate your recommendation. I may have to post my question in the OR (Portland/Salem/Beaverton area).

Pro Caliber in Vancouver will only do it if you buy the tire from them. Talk to Mark at Cycle Specialties in Portland by the airport.
