Nice. Home the trip was a pleasant one Cruiseman. Sometime the trips across that part of the country brings unexpected storms.

I think it was about 2.5 years ago and I woke up, said i would like a good steak and asked the wife to get up and get the gear on. "What? Why so early?" Well, we are going to the Big Texan. "Where is that?" she asked. I said Amarillo, its only 400 miles. "What are you nuts?" Well yes but that is a different topic. So we packed some things, hooked the trailer up, geared up and headed south for dinner. It was a nice Saturday ride through SE Colorado into NW Texas where we had a good dinner. Later we found a hotel for the night to rest and then in the morning chose a different route to go home. Stopped in Colorado Springs on the way home because I just needed some Fargos Pizza so it was a good two day trip.

I have never ridden 400 miles for a steak, but I have gone 120 miles to Lubbock back in the 70s for Suthphen's BBQ.

I rode to Amarillo and back in a day last July just to keep my buddy MisterK from having to ride solo all the way from Colorado!
