I took a nice ride with a group last Saturday. Started in Nampa to Idaho City for breakfast at Trudy's Kitchen, then taken the Lowman to Banks road, then down to Horseshoe Bend where some stopped and others kept going. I went over on 52 through Emmett and back to Parma. Only got some rain between Emmett and Sand Hollow Rd, but when I got to Market st and 26 the Old Fort Boise Days were wide open and traffic everywhere. Made it on one tank 238 miles. A member is going to Demo a st1800 next Saturday, so I guess I'll follow him.

I'm here in Rigby. Question, why do they have an Iowa flag posted for Idaho?

Hello! Im in Boise and find myself ridding in the mountains more often than not. This years mild winter has prevented me from using my Gerbing's heated gear so far... and Im not complaining.

Well I'm waiting for spring to buy some heated gear. My wife sold our place in Yuma, so I have been chilling here this Winter. I've gotten out a few times, but the chapter has not set up any rides in Winter time and I just drive the car to the meetings.

            Clamper,

How are you adjusting to Idaho so far? I noticed you're double darkside... same here.

If you haven't tried on heated gear yet, you're going to be blown away by how effective it is. I got heated gloves, pant and jacket liners. Then I pull over insulated coveralls. During the coldest days, I wear a balaclava underneath a full face helmet to keep any cold air from touching my skin.

I haven't joined any ridding groups yet. Which one are you a member of? I hope to find a mature experienced group that travels at a brisk but safe pace.

I'm with the Chapter T out of Nampa. Meetings are second Saturday mornings at Golden Corral. 8:30 for eating and close to 9:30 when meeting starts. We have a new chapter director so don't know how brisk we will be riding down the road, but I keep making noise about picking it up a little. I think Mike will pick up the pace. http://www.gwrra-id.us/

You'll have to let me know how things go with the new chapter director.

The forecast reports that tomorrow looks like the only decent day to ride for a while. I should be able to get out of work around noon if you're up for a ride. PM me with your contact info if you can make it.

I hope it's nothing serious Ron but if the doc tells you to bend over and he has both hands on your shoulders, run out of his office.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope its nothing serious.

Well I get to wear a monitor for 72 hrs. Oh, fun.

Ron, what were they monitoring? Am I going to have to get you an Oxy tank for the end of June?

Ron I hope your tests came out ok. The older we get we seem to be susceptible to so many bad things. Hope your well. I hope the Dr didn't ban you from going to the buffets.

I went in for stress test, ultrasound and cardiac monitor and go back in March to hear what they found. I did go for a short ride today. A little fresh air. No buffets until Corona virus is gone. (G)

              • #14
Ron the stress test was because you could no longer spend the winter months in Yuma and you were forced to spend the entire year in Parma ID. I hope all your test results are good, and you'll keep us posted.
Be careful with that Corona virus as the morning after is the worst.

I want to go on down and see Rocky in San Diego and take a run over to Yuma, stopping in Mexico for a lunch and say Howdy to a few people. I want to ride by my place in Yuma and see if they did anything to it. April or May some where around there.

              • #15
Ron, take it easy, hopefully those test will come back OK. RoadRat, Paul, is that you?
