    Death Valley - 2017 Ride - Arizona

Mainly for those that are coming from AZ...remember, this is a ride that has no plans, but... :D

For the previous ride participants in AZ, I'm presuming our departure timing will be the same as it has been:

0900 KSU from the Mobil at Vulture Mine Rd & US-93
Shortly after 0800 at the US-60/Loop 303 interchange
    I'll be departing the vicinity of I-10 exit 252/exit 250 at 0600

If there's NOT a lot of chatter in this thread (like, a head count a week or so in advance...), I'm tempted to take a route that I've *not* taken a few legs of to ride more direct to the desert, avoiding LV traffic, etc.

There's a month or so before real decisions need to be made...no need to hurry them!

Two (?) riders out of Tucson leaving 2/16. I-10, I-8 to Gila Bend, Old US 80 and Vulture Mine Road to Wickenburg, US 93 to Laughlin cut-off. Overnighting in Laughlin. Next day Laughlin to Beatty via Searchlight, Nipton Road, I-15 to Baker. State Route 127 to DV Jct. State Route 190 to Beatty Jct. Beatty Rd. and Daylight Pass Rd. into Beatty. Return trip, repeat. 2 easy days, changing scenery, and most importantly avoiding the Phoenix/Vegas congestion! See ya there!

I'm going, but might leave a day early to visit a relative.

If you do, no worries, as I'm contemplating the route that SoloWing (Mike) outlined in his post; 'cept I'll do all that on Friday....or a similar route:

        Nope...

Not sure I've even seen a post on-line from him since the last ride.

Last post from him at the other place is Last Activity: 07-19-2015 06:02 PM

Last activity here was right about the ride time last year.

Looks like he's not been playing nearly as much as he used to on forums...

I'll try to remember to send him a text. I think I still have his number.

He didn't do a lot of riding prior to the ride last year...think he might be still reliving that unplanned ride termination from a couple years ago.
