I am only a make believe Darksider........
(Darksider - a person who will crash and burn because they are running a car tire on a motorcycle)
Opinion:
It's true, crashing and burning possibilities are higher with a non-run-flat car tire than with that of a conventional motorcycle tire. Those folks (using non-run-flat CT's) are the real Darksiders. They are very performance orientated and thus have calculated the risk. A non-run-flat car tire that rapidly deflates will give a rider absolute fits and can cause the rider to have a hard time controlling it. I have heard, correct me if I've got this wrong - The side walls will not support the weight of the bike nearly as good as a regular motorcycle tire will.
I use a Run-Flat Car Tire. More safety - no flats, better traction than a MT.......bla bla bla........nothing dark about being safer. I found the light especially with this particular bike/weight/tire possibilities.
All due respect to the real Darksiders
