  • I did it today.

I made the move today. The POS shinko rear tire was horribly cupped under 4,000 mles and I had a guy with a Kumho Ecsta that he just swapped off his GW to put the Yoko tire on and he gave it to me to try. Corning left felt almost normal but the rt hand corners in the neighborhood had me feeling like it was giving way as they were slow. On the interstate the lane changes and curves felt normal for the most part. I am going to ride the bike to a company training thing in Greeley on Wednesday so that will be a nice road trip test before hitching the trailer up, loading the wife and heading to Albuquerque on Friday. I loved that the tire tracked more true on the concrete interstate where the motorcycle tires tending to wonder in the grooves. If I like how this goes I will be purchasing a new runflat this winter.

Thanks for the great info and support we find on this forum.

Congrats! If that is the KU31 Kumho it is one heck of a performance tire. It may not be the smoothest riding but it will take everything I could throw at it and not miss a beat. With its square profile and stiff sidewalls, the KU31 is NOT very forgiving on uneven pavement (at slow speeds). Be careful and enjoy.

        Richard,
It is an assymetrical KU31. Does great but maybe the tire is a little square because I do find myself pushing a little harder than I would like cornering at times but I increased the pressure to 41 this afternoon. WOW!!!! the ride home in the rain was awesome tonight. Really looking forward to the road trip this weekend
