  • GL1800 (2012+): Guhl Reflash 2.0

I just got off the phone with Don Guhl and he is getting ready to apply the latest reflash to my ECU. I had the Level 3.1 reflash done about 6 weeks ago and was still encountering a significant cold engine stumble in the 2,600-2,800 RPM range. He said they have modified the fuel mapping significantly to add more fuel in the lower rpm range. I should my ECU back by Friday, so am I anxious to see if this resolved the stumble once and for all.

My ECM comes back tomorrow as well. I originally had the 2.0 flash and developed the 2000-2500 rpm, 1/4 warm flat spot as well.
Hoping this "Level 4" flash fixes that.

I have been patiently waiting for this issue to get sorted out. Once stable I'm ready to pull the trigger on an ECU flash.

I got the ECU back today and hope to do a test ride here in about an hour. Fingers crossed. However, the last time I had the reflash, the stumble left the building, but returned a couple of weeks later. Weird.

That is odd. It kind of makes you think there is something other that the ECU causing the stumble. Maybe a sensor out of range.

Only a short preliminary ride. Too soon to tell. I think I want to test it for a week before I post any results. The last time I had the reflash, I shot of my mouth about how it got rid of the stumble, then within a week, the stumble returned. I want to take a more measured approach this time.
