Went to Advanced Auto Parts for new plugs and these are the plugs I got; NGK BRK6E 6962. Just want to make sure these are the correct plugs for the GL 1800.

The plugs you have are correct - They only difference in the number is the BKR6E-11 are Pre Graphe plugs yours are correct you will need to gap them to correct speck before you install them.

Personally, I will only use the NGK Iridium spark plugs in all my GL platform bikes. I install them when the bike has 25K miles on it, and leave them in for 75K miles, so they come out when the bike has a total of 100K miles on it. I ride a lot of miles, so I like the longevity of these Iridium plugs.
I love my iridiums on both bikes. Either they really have me fooled or there is a real difference in the umph the bike has when you twist the throttle!
This weekend I swapped out the spark plugs as part of the 60,000 kilometer service.
