  • Glove box spring

I had to replace the top on my glove box. (Left side where the aux port is) Getting the spring back in place on the front hinge is proving to be quite the challenge. Any tips on getting this done? Thanks.

Have never done this before. Can you post some photos?

This is the spring I'm referring to. It's what makes the door of the glove box pop up when you open it. The other end of the spring is supposed to go into the slot nearest to left side of support arm.

Put the spring in place first, then install the pin. May have to gently pry the spring a bit to line it up with a small screwdriver.

Kit's tip helped! The key here is to partially install the pin enough to hold the arm, put the left side of the spring in place, push the pin through enough to hold that in place, then pull the other side of the spring into it's slot with a pair of needle nose pliers while pushing the pin the rest of the way through. Shazam! I'm back in business. Thanks for help Kit!
