I found tbis excellent mount made by a fellow in Florida. It mates to RAM and some
other GPS holders (see website). The EZ Mount mounts on your windshield vent and has that diamond shaped plate that many RAM mounts use. You use your GPS cradle without the RAM stalk.
I tried to load a photo of the GPS in the RAM mount - which mounts on the brake or clutch reservoir on the handlebar (too close) and the GPS on the EZ Mount (I'm holding it because I've got the incorrect cradle- waiting for the right one. The forum said even one picture was too big, but PM me and I can send a photo of the GPS in the RAM, on the EZ, and the EZ itself. The man that makes it is very helpful (he even helped me find the correct mount for my GPS even though he doesn't sell them ( after the cycle store sold me one that I almost lost a new GPS out of!). Both Nuvi and Zumo mounts can be used with the EZ mount
The best GPS mount for Goldwings with a vent in the windshield

Nice mount but i am not to certain i like anything mounted directly in front of my line of vision. I am not that tall to look over my windshield but it is a nice looking mount.

I saw that GPS mount a few weeks ago but his website doesn't provide photos or descriptions of the actual mount. Unless a prospective buyer is on facebook he provides no way to contact him. His mount looks good and reviews praise it but his website makes it very difficult to buy from him.

Would you be kind enough to post photos of the mount showing the way it attaches to your Goldwing? I think I'd like to order one but am not willing to order it without knowing how it is actually attached to the GW.

Edit: Just reviewed the seller's website again and see that he now shows a couple of photos of the attachment but the photos are not very good and still do not reveal the actual mount and the method of attachment.

I think I can guess that the mount uses two pieces of metal that clamp on either side of the vent frame and clamp with a bolt and wing nut. I don't like spending $65 for something that I can't see and evaluate.

        Harvey,
I appreciate your input. Your assessment of the installation is correct, and I did have more detailed pictures at one point, until I realized they were using them to fabricate there own. When the mount becomes as big as Ram mount I wont care, but at this early stage I feel the need to keep the cards a little close to my chest. (can you blame me?) I will add a contact page to the website though so people can reach me. You can email me at [email protected].

          Kevin,

I understand your reluctance to provide close up detailed photos. I suspected that might be a factor. And no, I don't blame you. You had a good idea and turned it into a product many want to buy and it's your right to earn a profit. That's part of our beloved free market economy and I support it wholeheartedly.

I solved my own problem. I talked myself into ordering your mount earlier this morning. Please rush it if you haven't already seen my order.

          Thanks for responding.

I'm also interested but, I got a Garmin GPSmap 376C, mounted on a Ram mount attached to left side on handle bar's clutch reservoir bolts. Because of my "poor" eye sight, I'm having difficulties seeing this tiny 3" screen up so close.

Can I mount my GPS on your mount?. I'll email you for more info, if you like.

          Thanks, Tim

I've had the EZ-Mount for a number of months. I love it! It's amazing how little you ever look straight through the windshield. I see the GPS better, have to remove my eyes from the road less to see it and never feel like it's in the way. Rode to Tampa and back last week and spent another day on a daylong ride; ~1600 miles over three days without once having my vision obscured.

Is there any vibration with it mounted here, I like the idea of it but seems like anything I have had mounted around the WS has had a lot of vibration but it has always been toward the edge.

I really like mine being I'm vertically challenged 5'7" short stocky torso, I had no problem seeing over it but I decided to lower it by putting the ez mount device into a clamp and bend the GPS holder over which lowered it and now I am very satisfied with the result.

On the next run I'm going to make 20% bent down for that reason, and for larger gps models and trikes.

Won't lie to you. It does vibrate a little more compared to the solid mount I had in the clutch reservoir lid, but it is manageable. I noticed it the first day or two; not since.

Kevin- nice video but where was the camera mounted? It almost looks like a chest harness level. When I ride (I'm 5' 8") I look over the EZ-Mount while in the video it appears to obscure your vision. Do you have a helmet mount?

Correct, it was a chest harness. I'm reluctant to glue a mount to my helmet. But that decision might change.

p.s. I'm 6'1" and I look 6" over the windshield so it definitely doesn't block my vision.

I got the EZ-Mount a few months ago and absolutely love it. I love the location and it does not get in my line of sight. I added the short arm from ram mount and can adjust it up or down as needed. It took about 5 minutes to get it put in place and i will use it from now on. (One of these days i will get the wire where i want it so its hidden). Kevin was very helpful and guided me to the gps specific cradle that i needed.

This is what I got to mount my Dezl 760. I like the location, but on mine, because it's a 7" screen, I bent the mounting flange DOWN 180 degrees....that lowered the GPS by about 2".

It does vibrate, at speed, but I'm looking at ways to stop/reduce that.

I have a GPS with a 7" screen also. I mounted it on the EZ-GP MOUNT and found it to be just too large (heavy) for this mount. I moved it to the clutch master cylinder.
Maybe I can use it to mount my camera on?
