  • Windshield observation...

I just got back from a trip from Texas to South Dakota. While traveling through Kansas into Colorado, I endured a 55mph crosswind on I-70. Probably one of the strongest crosswinds I've ever experienced. I just installed a V-Stream windshield about a year ago. The wind was bending the windshield all over the place, but it held and performed very well.

Just thought I'd mention this if you happen to be on the fence for a new windshield.

Nice shield, But the Distortion on both sides is a no no for me.

Did you folks find a big improvement over the stock windshield? I had helmet buffeting (I’m 5’ 8”) and found no improvement. The F4 was better (tallest model) but the Windbender (also tallest) was best with only most minor remnants of buffeting.

I get very little buffeting from the V-Stream. I run the height or the top of the shield halfway up my point of sight.

I heard a couple people wonder about a larger wind screen possibly effecting the electric windshield's operation. Any thoughts on your end?

Mine is on my 2008. I keep the top of the windshield right below my eye level and the buffeting is fine. More importantly, my wife noticed getting less buffeting than from the stock windshield. And I have not tried the others - sorry, no idea how they match up.

Sorry trailboss..... since I don't have an electric windshield, I have no clue.

If it does, it would on only be at and above a certain speed.
