  • Does your bike go straight when you set your cruise and take your hands off the bars?

I t boned a 100 lb deer at 50 mph didn't fall down but when I rode it today I set the cruise and the bike pulled to the right slightly. I wish you guys would try it and see how it goes and let me know.

I moved my travel toolbox from the right to left saddlebag because the bike drifted just a bit to the right with it on that side. Now, with the slight weight increase to the left over the right, it travels in a straight line.

My 2007 was straight as an arrow. 2012 pulls to the left.

Iam glad you brought that up I will take everything out of bags and trunk and try it again. I have Progressive Insurance with a $1000 deductible they will come out to my residence to do an estimate. It needs front fender and left cowling the right has a broken tab up front and I will probably replace that what the heck it is only $400 dollars. so far it comes to $1700 dollars. If they determine the frame is tweaked the bike will be totaled. I spent a bunch of money for Traxxion Suspension and cooling fan upgrades.

I can't say that I have tried it with my 2010, but my 03 and 05 both tracked straight. I could also shift my position in the seat and change lanes.

I think the road crown affects tracking more than anything. They are almost high on the left side of a road and the bike wants to "climb" the crown.

Mine runs true. Although note recommended to ride no hands i have the confidence in my machine that it will do it. Otherwise something's wrong.
on your bike i would pull the forks and roll the uppers on a flat surface , chance that the forks bend b/4 the frame. Good Luck with the Bike, glad you made it.

On a flat surface...... mine tracks straight. Of course it would with that big , non-rounded Yoko car tire. I don't even need a side stand when I park it.

You can remove the upgrades before giving over the bike, at least I did with a car that was totaled years ago.

That was why I only had one Yoko. It wore great, but I didn't like that wide flat spot. I could feel it falling back onto it coming out of a curve.

I have some weight in my bags, jackets, a few tools and sometimes a gun and it runs straight as an arrow.

I emptied my bags and trunk and it runs straight, thanks for the suggestions.

I have no idea if my runs straight or not. Ever since mine was new I've been too scared to take my hands off the handlebars because of the wobble. Complained to the Dealer with less than 100 miles and he said "They all do that. Don't take your hands off." That was for a 2006.
                          Stfu and lets ride !

To the dealer's comment "They all do that." In the ~35-43 range, when my front tires have 10K+ miles on them, they'll wobble from "cupping"; if they cupped. Otherwise, the front end rides smooth as a baby's behind.

Proper air pressure - depending on the riding you're doing - helps a LOT in that regard.
