  • Mute and auto volume adjust inop

    OK GW Gurus,

I am still dealing with mute and speed sensitive volume adjust not working. I tried to remove fuse and also checked the 4 wire pins near key switch. Mute button does depress and lock correctly but mute symbol does not show on dash or volume does not change. Thinking I may have to send the radio to Sierra this winter..... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Are those the only buttons not working? I've had all audio buttons stop working due to a stuck button. Cleaned the dirt out of the buttons and all was well, just took quite a bit of work to get it cleaned out.

Nope just the mute function and auto speed sensitive volume. Mute button goes in and locks. Next push releases it as it should. Mute indicator on LCD does not appear, radio doesn't mute and radio stays loud when I slow down.

Tried plug and unplug all the connectors and disconnecting power. Still the same, will remove it this winter and have it fixed. I can live with it, he'll my wife's mute button has never worked and it hasn't killed me.

Before sending your radio to Sierra, I would check the actual wires for opens or shorts before you send it. There could be a couple open wires between the button and radio itself. The radio could possibly not even getting the signals.

                Low volume radio
                by Beechwlf
I have a 2013 f6b deluxe. The radio volume is pretty low, even at volume set 27, with the bike idling, it's basically background music. And then totally disappears once you start moving. Any suggestions?...

This is a weird one, my radio starting cutting in and out recently. I only does it through the headphones, not the speakers. Now, here are a couple of other clues. I tried using Mic-Mutes (PTT) to silence...
