  • Eliminate wind buffet

I use the Baker air wings- they're great, but air still comes around the mirrors and just above- is anyone aware of any auxilliary deflectors that might go on the side of the windshield in that area? I'd especially like that in colder weather.

I use the 4 inch taller Tulsa windshield and the mirror windwings. It helps the passenger a lot.

I also use the Tulsa....I just went to the factory and had one installed; it makes a REALLY big difference...I had the vent installed and I also use the Baker hand wings. The wind buffeting that had been bothering me is almost entirely gone. Two thumbs up for the Tulsa.

        I fitted a F 4 + 4. with vent. I'm 6'2". It is a little wider. I also have the wings under the mirrors.

I use a Windbender HPS with the rake kit. I can see well over the top of the shield.

Windbender HPS and hand wings here too. I don't use the rake kit though. Both the wife and I are on the short side and this combo works well for us. A huge improvement over the stock setup and I never have to look through bug guts either!

Thank you all for the valuable information. I just had put the V Stream on- eliminates most helmet top buffeting but not all the side buffeting. I guess an F4 +4 looks good. I look through the windshield.

I just posted my feedback on the Windbender HP on the General Discussion forum. I had the Tulsa +4 on my bike before the Windbender and I hated it. The edge of the windshield was directly in my line of sight and it raked back too far into my comfort zone. The Tulsa +4 was the best option available when I put it on several years ago but it is tired.

I had X Tall Tulsa's w/v on my 1500's and then on my 06 1800. I got tired of the rain falling on my lap and went to the F4+4 w/v and love it.
Also have all the Bakers, mirrors, fairing and trike leg (larger then standard) wings.

I have a V-Stream on mine and don't have any buffeting. Keep the windshield vent open some even if it is just a little so it blows upward. This helps eliminate the back pressure that contributes to buffeting.

+1 for the V-Stream. I noticed that mine has holes in the upper section of the vent so it has airflow going up regardless if its closed of not but I've also opened it a crack to see if I noticed anything and I didn't notice a difference. Either way it works great.

Went with the show Chrome +2 Height and +3 width. Took care of all of it and I can still look over it.

Ive a Tulsa+4 on mine with all of the Baker wings from top to bottom. Wind doesnt bother me much but if this is what it takes to keep the Missus happy its worth it. Happy wife makes for a happy life.

CaptLen, I use the National Cycle Vstream SE windshield and the Baker hand wings. It has decreased the buffeting for my SO significantly! She loves it, so what else can I say?

I got the Ceebailies 2" shorter cause I like to look over it when all the way down..on long trips will raise it up it is the same width as stock at top but tapers less so is wider, it is also stiffer, offers good wind protection , like it a lot
