Baehr Intercom

I have just picked up a used 2003 GL1800 and in the trunk I found a Baehr 12-05 Intercom system. have plugged in the headsets but I am getting a fair bit of crackle in the pillion headset. Ive checked all the wires as that was obviously first thoughts. thinking it may be the unit. wondered if anyone has had similar issues.

Does you OEM intercom system work? Maybe Baehr was spliced in and that could be the reason for crackle?

I haven't had the front compartments off yet to check the OEM Intercom. if its all ok I may just revert to that if its any good. Still feeling my way round this beast. its a lot different to my old Triumph

I have an '03 since new. If you have a friend who has a head set, have your friend plug into your OEM system and see if there is crackle on your friend's set and then use the same set on the other system to determine if there is crackle.
