Ok, so I something dumb today, changed the oil in my 2012 Goldwing with Amsoil. Well, I've watched the videos of people placing a nickel on the engine and revving it up to show how smooth it runs after putting Amsoil in it. Well when I did it, I knocked the nickel over and it slid towards the engine and behind the cowling and between the cylinders. Now I can't see the nickel and don't really know where it is. So the question is, will this hurt anything and how do I get it out of there?

Well, you will never be broke when riding the Wing. I lost a spark plug socket doing a plug changed on the GN turbo I had, years later I found wedged between the body and frame where the fender panel butts up to the front driver's door.
I use Shell and will have to try that balancing act next time I change the oil."I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for few public officials." (George Mason, 3 Elliot, Debates at 425-426)

I went to put the key in to start my 85 Aspencade and dropped it. It went into the fairing somewhere never to be found again. I had to call my wife to get the spare key.2008 GL1800 Titanium (cleanest color)

There should be a dedicated sub-forum board for "dumb things I did today".No doubt that between the bunch of us it would always have fresh material.
In this case you're a winner, as it only cost you a nickel to learn something new. Most of the lessons I've leaned have cost me far more!Ron
