  • Shop Manual - where is it?

I understand that the dealers have access to the Service Manual online, but where do owners get access to a Shop Manual for the new model?

Notice there's no longer a CD-ROM option. Suspect this is due to rampant piracy when they were available as a CD-ROM.

Note also, no 2018 listed. Not yet available for the public. Helm is the distributor for later-model official Honda service literature.

I called them a day or two ago and they told me to check again in six to eight weeks. Kind of sucks!

Same thing happened when the 2012 came out. Took forever to get the service manuals.

Service manuals are for rookies. Rip/tear/snap/glue back together. Next!

Provided you can read. I like the ones with lots of pictures...not too many words to get confused with.

Sorry Rocky, old farmer here, we use bailing wire. Can be used as a fastener or welding rod as necessary.

          Bailing Wire. Hmmmm??
I think I heard a story about a guy riding along and tried to jump over a ball of bailing wire minding its own business in the middle of the road, and he missed. the end result wasn't purdy.

Bailing wire as I used it comes in 5000' rolls and is a soft wire about .080" diameter. I used it when bailing my hay. Hog wire as in the hog wire fence that encapsulated my bike in NC is about .100" diameter and woven into 2" X 4" rectangles and coming in 100' rolls. It is tough enough to scratch plastic!

Bought one on ebay from belgium (62mkc00 made for bijes shipped to other countries), but for most things i'm sure i can figure it out. $150 shipped, got it in 10 days.
