Anyone put a trailer hitch on the new 2018 yet?

How much plastic had to be removed?

Can you pull a trailer with a DCT model?

Rocky and Cruiseman addressed this question earlier when I posted it about pulling a trailer with a DCT. As for removing teflon I don't know. I installed a Rivco Hidden hitch on my Harley and I just followed the video install instructions I found on-line.

I bought a Mini Mate camper from http://www.openroadoutfitters.com/mi...orcycle-camper a little over a month ago. I had Dale Coyner, owner of Open Road Outfitters install a Bushtec hitch and the wiring harness for it. I was there to watch and assist in any small way I could. He only had to remove the rear fender and a couple of side panels to have access to install the hitch. Total time was about 2 hours. I then rode the Wing home from Ft. Myers to Daytona Beach, FL. via Interstate 4, (about 220 miles). I had never towed a trailer with a bike prior to this. Once you get going, you hardly know the trailer is even back there. I have since taken the camper to a state park north of Gainesville and again had no issues with it. Looking forward to taking it to the Blue Ridge Parkway soon and camping along the way.

No, the link goes to the service that hosts his photos, it didn't go to his public directory.

I just installed the Show Chrome hitch on my Wing, the rear fender, both side covers and the covers over the passenger floorboards are all that are removed. Removing the rear wheel makes for a much easier install but it can be done with the wheel on the bike on the center stand.

Installed the show chrome hitch then had to retrofit the hitch. Should have taken the rear tire out, would have been much easier. Hitch wiring (isolator & hitch wiring are plug and play-electrical connection). Watch when you reinstall seat. If you unplug either side, that side's saddlebag won't open. Pulled trailer several times with no problems. 2018 tour dct.
