  • Final Drive Ratio

Based on my own calculations, it appears to me with the new 6 speed transmission and DCT, @2,500 rpm's you will be traveling at a speed of 70mph.
@2,500 rpms my 2002 Gold Wing is traveling at 55 mph. Probably the largest reason for +20% gas mileage increase. If the old bikes were designed for 300,000 miles, will the new 2018 go 400,000 miles?

Easily, and no alternator, transmission, or final drive issues.
