Can't believe how stagnant the 2018+ Gold Wing forum is. Come on guys, what's going on?

Most have committed suicide, the new bike drove them to it.

Sell now and move west young man.

BTW. Why aren't you out riding instead of complaining on a internet forum?

    You lose your fob??

I hear ya Doug. A day off allows you to check the bike over and get it ready to ride.

There are some folks that don't enjoy a ride in the rain.

I made it a point to get on the bike a ride locally soon after a storm passed right after I got back on two wheels, just to get used to the bike in the rain.

Now, rain is about the only way my bike gets washed*

Cruiseman. Well I am on the way to saving money as you advertise using the maintenance videos. So I just completed the install, on my own, the Honda Luggage rack, SoCal Brake Running Lights, and LED fog lights and required cable harness. I did use the quick method of installing the fog lamp switch, what a time saver.
Lessons learned, The new gas cylinders for the trunk lid were a frustration at the beginning, as there is a binding when the originals are released and the new ones replaced. I found they require some force in the middle pin to get it to insert properly seat correctly. Your warning to ALWAYS place rags or paper under bolt, nut, and snap pins when removing and installing. The bike swallowed one bolt holding the bottom right tab of the control console. I assume I will find them when I go for the air filter replacement. The magnet, and rags prevented loosing many other lost soldiers. The lights worked perfectly when tested, whew...Thank you as I most likely saved myself at least 15 hours of labor, @ $110 per hour labor at the Honda Dealership. Patience was a virtue in these installs, a key point you mention repeatedly and found to be a profound truth.

PS my brother had the dealership install luggage rack and Honda fog lights., Honda allowed the dealer 2.5 hrs to install the fog lights, their first. It took them two days to install both. The dealer is disputing these flat rate manual figures vigorously for some reason.

Lastly, just added 5 years of HPP from Blue Ridge Powersports for $635.00.

I have roadside service from GWRRA which is excellent as I have used it twice and realized savings that has paid for my membership and subscription for many years.

Call and talk to Carter, she will fill you in on the pricing.

As a comparison, my brother paid over $1100 from his dealer. I plugged Cruisman’s advise, and she admitted he have given them a ton of business.

So there you have my latest. Damn if I don't feel GREAT. Thanks Cruiseman, your videos, along with the suggested instructions work.

    Miller time!

Just wait, five years from now you'll get down to the air filter and wonder - " Now were did that socket come from"? You turn and look at the tool kit and "Oh yeah, now I remember" well dang. LOL

Yea and that twenty I dropped in the upper cowling slit. By that time a shot of Crown will cost about that at your local pup. But it will taste as good. LOL 😂

Let's try to clear this up. It's been raining cats and dogs here (Southeast NC) on and off for days. We're talking inches. It finally let up yesterday afternoon. The sun came out and the roads dried up so I took a ride for a couple of hours. I don't ride in the rain, I ride as often as possible and I don't sit in front of the computer for hours at a time and complain about stuff. Gee wiz!
