I changed my filter today and didn’t have any problems with o-ring, partly because I put about .015 chamfer on the engine block the first time I had it apart. The engineer that designed the sharp corner on the filter opening is probably the same dumbazz that designed the cover to be asymmetrical.

Ok here we go just got my Wing not even 10 days ago did my 1st service on Saturday the 18th and this happen to me i broke my DCT o ring just like your picture shows Cruiseman. Lucky for me i have a great Honda Dealer 5 mins down the road from me i was able to get more o rings and got her repaired. My next issue is the oil Filter its so dam tight i cant get it off, Some JAP is laughing from the factory right now. Which Brings me to you Rocky your right these engineers really screwed the pooh i was thinking the same being under my wing theres no room to do anything and i don't have a center-stand don't thing i am going to put one ether.

Bringing Coppertone to the dealer on Tuesday for that filter problem. Never had any issues like this with my 2010 wing did all my own stuff the hole time i owed her with the great help from this Site. This why i hate Harley Davison so much there so proprietary with there stuff was working on bike i could not even bleed my brakes HD has a sensor on the ABS that only be reset by a dealer 150.00 buck that was the straw that broke the camels back for me i dumped my HD. Last issue for now i love Shell Rotella T6 being a Truck driver i what to keep using it but my Honda dealer wants me to sign a waver for them to use it they say its not approved by Honda for use in there motorcycles ??? here we go again. Cruiseman i will be singing up for your service soon and Rocky thanks for all you Do Keep Up the Great Work. And your right the DCT hold just about a 1/4 cup of oil

After realistically thinking this improved version through.

          Common sense has stepped in.

I mean after all, I get more out of the comic relief.

A table lift doesn't help, all it does is raise the bike instead of laying on the floor.

Here is what I'd be using to get at all three drain plugs and both filters without anything under the working area.
