  • John Preston R.I.P.

With the deepest regret I have learned of the passing of John Preston, Lewis Preston's father (Electrical Connection). I first met John at a Honda Hoot years ago and was taken with how passionate he was about his Bushtec trailers. At the time, I was pulling a Hannigan. When I sold my 2005 and trailer, there was no doubt that I would buy a Bushtec. John spent more than an hour with me on the phone, helping me to configure my trailer. And, when I had an issue with the paint, they took care of it.

John was a great guy and a great businessman, an example to us all. I would like to offer my sympathies and prayers to the Preston family.

Very sorry to hear this news. I am a better person having had the chance to put a handshake on John and chat with him. Not many better, that's for sure.

I met John in 2006 when a friend of mine and myself went to the Bustec factory. John and I discovered we both loved to hop up VWs. His was drag racing and mine was off road. After that any time we were together that's what we talked about. The last time I saw him was at Lewis' party and we spent most of the day talking about old times. He was a super nice man and will be missed.
