  • Another GPS question

Does anyone know of a GPS that has large route numbers that an old fart could see and recognize without using reading glasses?

Jack, I think a TomTom has a larger screen than most Garmin, and with a zoom feature, you should be able to see the route #'s.

I too use reading glasses. I have a set of prescription progressive sunglasses which are great. The oem has the zoom in and out feature which is good when looking for more detail.

I have a 7" Magellan. I bought it because I wanted something that I could use with a backup camera in my truck. I have always been a Garmin user but I liked the Magellan enough to get a bike mount.

Mr. Huddle, I just bought the 2797 also. It is currently at Kennedy Tech Group having the "Greg Rice Mod" done.

Have you used Basecamp to make any routes yet? If so is it any different than older GPS. It is my understanding the new units use "Trip Planner" and you have to construct the route differently?

                Thank you,

I just bought a Garmin dezl 760 - 7" screen and audio output so you can tie it into the intercom system. I also got a GlareStomper to fit it.
The bigger screen is awesome! Plus, the 760 has a lot of features my small nuvi never had...

I have the Garmin Nuvi 2797 with a 7" screen. Most people that first see it, think it a TV. JoeA
