Vest patches

In the spirit of starting a thread that I haven't seen before, or at least hasn't been discussed and beat to death in a while, I thought about vest patches. As I was looking through some pictures, I noticed all the different patches that people have on their vests. Every patch has a story and if you put a patch on your vest, it was most certainly not put there by accident. So what's the story with the patches on your vest? Why are they important to you? What patch have you seen that left a lasting impression on you?

As an example, I once saw a patch of an American flag on a guys vest that said "Try to burn this flag!" I loved it!!

Who still wears a vest? Seriously I just am not into wearing a vest. Just not my thing.

However I do have quite a few patches in a display of events I have attended. I also have a collection of police patches from agencies I have worked with or been in contact..

It's not on my vest yet, but I'm waiting for this one to be sewn on.

I've never gotten into the vest/patch thing but I do like looking at what other riders wear on their vests and jackets.
Maybe this could become a picture thread.

Here's a picture of my vest from years ago when we were active in GWRRA. My wife and I have matching ones that we ahd made and needed when we were Couple Of The Year but haven't used them in years. Only pin I have added is from the Davis Rally that we go to in Iowa every year.

I think it's cool to display places you've been. They're on my luggage and on my tank bag.

Stickers aren't my thing. (Unless it's one that makes a statement) Might be a different scenario on an ADV bike of sorts.
Now where to put those GL forum patches...

I guess one on my Riding suit and one on my vest.

I think Chris has done a great job with his freebie videos and I will purchase the set in the near future. His step-by-step will make a mechanic out of a fool!
