  • Maintenance Records?

Since I bought my bike in 2007 I have always kept my maintenance records on the Honda Owner Link. Well this went away last year and now seems is not coming back (they did email me all my old records).

I do not have a regular computer and right now only have an iPad. I've found a few general vehicle maintenance apps for the iPad and the reviews are mixed. Is anyone familiar with one they can recommend?

    Thanks much,
    Dan

Dan, this may not be the way you want to do it, but I use an Excel spreadsheet, made up the format myself, and I keep the maintenance records of all my vehicles on that spreadsheet. I use a different tab for each vehicle, so it is easy to keep them separated.

I use an app called Logbook by Tinkerbuilt. I use it for my bikes and cars. I think it's free for up to 3 vehicles, so it should give you an idea if you like it or not...

I just checked and Excel does have an App for iPad. Will do some research on this. Thanks.

Why not create a spreadsheet on google drive? This should work well since you don't have a computer.

This is an Excel spreadsheet I use (even though I use Apple Numbers on my Mac). Works great for me. I keep it in Dropbox so I can access it from any computer.

I use the cyclebot website (http://www.cyclebot.org/) and find the colored coded bars helpful to remind me when service items are coming due. The hardest part at first was building out all the trackable items that need serviced. The website description - "Cycle Bot is an online motorcycle maintenance tracker and log. By going to Cycle Bot from your computer, smartphone, or any internet capable device, you’ll be able record the service you perform on your bike, and get alerts when the next service is due."
