At what point does a bicycle become a motorcycle? Doesn't the heritage of our motorcycles include the fact that one time, someone took a normal bicycle, beefed it up, and put a motor in it? Is this device really any different?
In my mind, once you make a bicycle that is propelled by an engine, any type of engine, it is no longer a bicycle; but a motorcycle.

Definitely interesting to watch, but a lot of it is "presentation" and hype. If this were touted as a 'light-frame jet propelled cycle", it wouldn't be quite as eye-catching.
I'm reminded of when Evil Kneivel was going to jump the Snake River Canyon on a motorcycle (that tells my age, huh). I eagerly tuned in from my dorm lobby, and was sorely disappointed. It was essentially a rocket with two wheels. We've sent rockets to the moon and back.2012 Honda Goldwing | 2009 Timeout Camper

As far as the tires go, you do have to wonder what he used. A good tire used on a racing bicycle has so little weight and mass that centrifugal force probably is not so much an issue, but I wouldn't want to trust my life on that.
