  • Honda execs to take pay cut due to quality issues

Just saw a story about how the Honda execs are taking pay cuts for quality issues on Fox Business web site. It was focused on the automotive lines but I wonder if the cycle exec are included. While I like my 12 I have found the fit and finish is not the usual honda high standards. Heck it even leaks oil from the rear end.

But at least they are being held accountable! With most companies that is not so....heck, the same with Government as well...

Its always the low level workers who get blamed but with out quality leadership, there is no quality workmanship....

Accepting responsibility and "falling on their swords" is a very old tradition in the Japanese culture. It has significant meaning to Japanese people and I'm confident it means something within the ranks of Honda corporate leadership.

Yes..."loosing face" is a very serious personal offense. Maybe not so much as in the years past, but certainly an issue....

                  I Like it.
Take some $$ off the execs because the product could be improved and is sloppy.

The average CEO in US is 3.5 million, in Japan it is 580,000.
