  • CLINTON CYCLES GONE

Clinton Cycles has been going downhill seriously since Dan Kenney bailed out .. The pony tailed hippie that was hired in his place9 Him and wing wing would probably get along great) has ****ed off most of the customers and the employee moral has tanked.. HONDA cancelled the franchise and they can no longer sell hondas or obtain parts

Yes, it was in Clinton, MD. We really have VERY little to chose from here in Maryland for reliable Honda work and service. It's what motivated me to do as much of my own work as possible. Good to finally put a handshake on ya kniterider while down at our Oyster Festival.

Hey WT, Clinton NJ, about 9 miles North of me, is a nice little town with an unfortunate name. It was established in 1751 so it was here well before Bill and Hill.

Jerry, It is a great picture and I wish I could claim it, but it was taken by a professional photographer. I found it on the Internet. The "Old Red Mill" at the lower left is one of, if not the, most photographed locations in NJ. Do a Google image search on "old red mill clinton nj". There are literally hundreds of photos. New Jersey is the brunt of many jokes, but the area of North Jersey where I live is beautiful. Now, if we could just do something about the political climate of the State. ;-)

Traxxion shows Clinton Cycles as an authorized installer for there products...I was planning on going to Clinton Cycles to have everything installed on my bike
in the spring... I won't be going there for sure...

I'm in Richmond Va and I hate to drive 567 miles to Gary's Hobbie Shop in McDonough, GA to have this done, seems like the closet place to me.

Anyone know a closer place to Richmond to get this work done???

              Thanks, John

John, I think Bill is spot on. Take it to where they make it. Sad really how that all worked out for the shop, as the real shame is we no long have Dan Kenny and his crew to work with. But, still can catch up with the guys at our Oyster Festival.

Surprised, they were right on top of my e-mails and most helpful, believe that was Dan. I'd do a follow up on your questions. I'm for sure getting my springs, spacers, bushings seals and covers from Traxxion when the finance department is looking better. I have a friend nearby that's done his and 2 others so that for sure on my bucket list. Today I wrestle with a dragging right front brake, not sure what I'm getting into there. I think the plungers are hanging up. I'm looking to fix, those calipers are $189 at partzilla, that doesn't include shipping and pads.

I lived in West Milford N J (Passaic County) until I joined the Navy in '64. If memory serves me right (now thats a joke) I believe Clinton wasn't that far from West Milford. Never returned after I was discharged as I wasn't to fond of the winter months.

West Milford is just South of the NJ/NY line. Clinton is on I-78 at Exit 15, about 50 miles to the SW of West Milford.

We used to cross over into NY to party as the drinking age was 18 there. After a couple of encounters with the local police it was time for me to mend my ways and join the military. That was a smart move.

I'm retired from a local PD in Rockland County, N.Y.. I remember those days. Friday and Saturday nights were known as "rockem-sockem" nights. Then send them back to Jersey. Best fight calls were the women. Oh man were they good ones.

Any idea where Dan wound up? I had some work done at Motovation. Seemed like nice people.

How about Crofton? I visited them before the Rockville store opened up. No real basis for an opinion regarding the mechanics although the salesman was a dummy and seemed uninterested in my money which I spent elsewhere. If I had to go to a dealer tomorrow, I'd be hard pressed to put my finger on one.
