Pulled the trigger on a new Windbender HPS this AM. Went with a smoked base and a bronze tinted upper. I also ponied up for the new fasteners installed to eliminate use of the clevis pins. Looking forward to receiving and test riding it. I rode behind Hi Yo Cheeto's HPS setup which motivated me to buy one. I think I'm going to be pleased. Dayle was great to work with.

Congratulations Fred. Be interested to see how the tinted upper looks. Sounds like we need to have a get together so you can show it off. Take care my friend.

Hey Bob, a lunch meeting sounds great to me. Let's make it happen before it gets to cold to ride. Should have the shield installed this time next week. I thought I would go with the tinted upper to give it a different look. I think it will look good with the dark Blue.

I have the HPS too with the dark tinted upper and the upgraded fasteners.
I have had the same setup on my last three Wings and would not consider any other shield.
My wife loves this setup also!

Also, if you don't have hand wings, you should think about getting some. They really fine tune the wind protection with the HPS.

I have had them on every wing I have owned. I like em! I really like the ability to pop the top off, take it I. The Hotel, lay it in the shower and it cleans off with the shower!

Thanks guys for the positive feedback. Can't wait to receive and install my new Windbender. Just in time for peak color tours around here in Northern MI. I figure about 4 weeks of riding left.

now you just need the Farkle shelf to go with it.

Fred be very careful of the comment from the NAVY type above. He has been known to lead the unwary down the wrong road. Wait that's Cheeto, but Jerry really loves to spend other peoples money. Check Dayle's website for the farkle shelf. Jerry has one, bit much for me, but check it out. Jerry you do realize I'm trying to be funny...... Right? Take care you two.

I looked at the farkle shelf but decided to go another route.
I have a thread on what I did on the modifications area on how I mound my phone on one of the Windbender rails. I also have my TPMS mounted on the other rail in a similar manner.
If you have a lot of stuff to mount, the shelf is probably a good deal.

Hey, fellow Windbender users, what do you use to clean the shield. I have always used Honda spray, Lemon Pledge or just water on the stock shield and it has done well. Should receive my new Windbender first of the week. Can't wait to install use it and yes clean it LOL. The mirror wings are already in place

Squirt some hydrogen peroxide on and the bugs pretty much melt away. Use a corner of a micro fiber cloth to rub the bugs, then a clean spot to dry. Doesn't work as well on old bug splats.

I use Honda spray Polish or Plexus when I can find it cheap enough.

My Windbender HPS arrived via UPS this afternoon. I was like a kid at Christmas. Got it installed in about 1.5 hours taking my time. Love the way it looks with the dark smoke base and the bronze upper. By the time I installed it and made myself dinner(yeah guys, when you are single that's the drill LOL) was to late for a test run. I'm looking forward to that tomorrow. So far so good as everything fit as it should and install was a breeze. First impressions are important and the way it was packaged was good, well protected in bubble wrap. Got it set with the base all the way down and the upper up one notch. The test ride is going to be fun as sunny and mid fifties is the forecast.

Ditto. I know your going to love it after trying mine.

You need to come south a little, Fred, they're predicting mid 60's over the weekend down here.

Agree with Frank about coming South. Would love to get together to check out the new shield but unfortunately family stuff getting in the way. Enjoy your ride and new WindBender, ride safe. Hope we can get together in the Spring.

Been on three rides with the shield and I love it. The sweet spot is base all the way down and the upper one notch above the lowest setting. Maybe go up another notch on the Freeway, when I have a chance to test it. Been up to 80MPH and it is perfect at the sweet spot setting. It is all I expected. The visibility is awesome and the wind management is amazing compared to the stock shield. A great product for those Like me that must look over the shield. :D

Hey Bob and Frank went for a ride on this fine fall day with the GF got up to about 85 MPH on the freeway and she gave a big thumbs up on the Windbender. She stated much better than the stock shield. The shield was set with the base all the way down and the upper up two notches from the lowest setting. We will all get together in the spring for sure my friend.

Took my 1st good ride today with my windbender it's working out better than I expected. We had only ridden about 1/4 mile and my wife said wow I really like this new wind shield. My stock shield would blow my shirt up if it wasn't tucked in. This shield doesn't do that. I had ridden several miles before I even thought about it. Thanks to Kevin [AKA] Mister K for recently encouraging me to try one. BTW if you don't like it you don't lose but 25 bucks.
