  • Exicting ride to work

Well it wasn't that warm this mornig around 45 degrees. I normaly would ride my wing at this tempatuer but I have the front wheel off to take it to the dealer to have a new tire put on. Off bike only 40 mount and balenced. anyway I rode my triumph Tiger 800 xc to work. it is a bit nippy at 70 miles per hour on the slab.

I get to work and it is not really not light yet the sun is still coming up. when I got almost to work I was taking a 90 degre left turn at 15 miles an hour. I hit a pile of wet pine needles and the rear tire started to slide out on me. I was glad I was ridding my XC. It woke me up but nothing more than that. I'm not sure what would have happened if I was on the wing

Probably woke you up better than that first cup of coffee!
I'm glad you were able to get her under control!

Similar to yours, my slide was caused by tar strip in the middle of the road. I was making a left turn and when the back wheel hit that wide tar strip, the back end slid about a foot. Gave me a real pucker, but, winter driving in Michigan has taught me well to steer into the slide and it straightened right up. I think my trailer may have pushed me a little farther than normal, but, I'm not going to reenact it to find out.

At this time of the year, I am especially mindful of all the wet leaves on the roads. Glad your wake up call turned out to be just a pulse raiser.

Yes it did wake me up. The dirt ridding I do on the Triumph also helped. be careful out there
