  • Honda: No new gasoline-powered vehicles in North America after 2040

"Honda is targeting sales of 100% zero emission electrified vehicles in North America by 2040"

    https://hondanews.com/en-US/honda-co...ety-technology

So, will motorcycles go to a hydrogen fuel cell configuration instead of batteries?

Is the current Goldwing the *final* internal-combustion Goldwing?

I really don't think I'll be around to have to worry about any of that.

I agree. What ever happens after 2030 I don't think it will matter to me.

Yep, I'll be a distant memory by then and IF I'm still around I wouldn't know what the hell is going on.

Amen to that! I'm happy I was born in the time period I was. We had great toys as kids and adults to enjoy.

I can see it now. Solar powered Helmets to keep the bike charged.

You can't possible think they will have charging stations on every corner, or in your homes?

How prey tell is the government going to come up with a way to create the energy to charge these electric vehicles?

They can't even figure out how stop rolling black outs now.

        Yup Trust the government.

Look at the wonderful situation these clowns have us in now. (Thanks to the morons)

Creating the energy is rather simple, actually.

Distribution is where it's a bit trickier.

Hey, all us old farts will either be pushing up daisies or soon will be by the time this comes to fruition...in only 20 years or so.

You aint seen nothig yet. Wait till the bill for these giveaways comes due...when will the insanity stop. "Vote for me, Ill give their money away " 😆 I wonder what the electric vehicle mfgring carbon footprint is?

I really don't see this happening. As long as there is Oil and the change of Governments around the world, somebody will still be making internal combustion engines.

Clarification: As it turns out “vehicles” does not include motorcycles or ATVs, according to information released after that news release came out.

By 2024, there will be additional battery powered cycles by Honda.

I still think the hydrogen fuel cell may also be in our future.

When you look at densely populated areas and how people battle to find street parking or any nook or cranny, you have to wonder how ‘the government’ plans to make charging available. Not every car owner has a nice driveway, garage or private lot for their vehicle.

Because only someone with a nice driveway, parking lot, or garage will be able to afford a vehicle. Problem solved with space issues.
