Where Did Honda put the C-Air Filter.

I just changed the Cabin air filters in the Wife & Chiropractors vehicles.
And I got to thinking. Hmmmm??

While I have changed many a GL1800 AIR filters in the past 20 plus years.

I can't locate where Honda hid the CABIN air filter on my GL1800??.

Clean air is essential when riding my motorcycle, and thinking my bike is a 2004,

My Cabin air filter must be in need of changing it by now? (nothing about service intervals in the owners booklet)

Ebay has them for $9.95 free shipping.

Amsoil has a Synthetic Carbon impregnated filter for $39.95. (Why do they think I need a pregnant filter)


So seeing I can't find the Cabin air filter location in my service manual.

I'm hoping one of you can point me in the right direction?

Aren't those aftermarket foamy things people stick on the forks to keep crap from flying up in ones face... actually the GL1800 cabin air filter's?
I hear they are made of special high filtration closed cell foam, for maximum filtration!

Or there could be the Harley brand, skull filter face wrap, schnott rags we see out there!

Rocky...... the cabin filter AKA windshield vent on the 01-17 Goldwing does not need to be changed, just cleaned regularly. It does filter out larger insects rather effectively, however is quite porous when it comes to
smaller particulate. As meticulous as you seem, I am surprised you haven’t cleaned yours yet ??

Rollin. I learn something every day. I always thought that windshield filter was a "Bird filter - slicer dicer"!

When bees make it through mine they're usually sliced and diced and covered across everything from my glasses to my shirt. I guess I've been lucky that they haven't aimed quite right yet. The birds usually just go over the windshield and aim for my helmet.

Wait---Allow me to clear the air of confusion here!

I finally found the Cabin Filter, It was located to the left of the synthetic blinker reservoir, Under the rear shock dehumidifier.

This how dirty the 15 year old filter was.



This is the new filter. (Carbon impregnated mind you)



I can now breath fresh air again. Now we be a rockin'
