I notice today I lost one of the grommets the the battery cover. Where is a good place to buy a whole set? Any ideas.

When I bought my last set it was along with other items I ordered from WingStuff. Bulldog and Meesh at Shinhopples also carries them, they're good people. I don't know if our sponsor vendors carry the grommet kit, you would have to check with them.

Working on Wings has schooled me to buy OEM grommets. The after market grommets are a royal PITA and have been known to snap off a tab when removing the cover later on.

I do all my OEM parts search from here. http://www.servicehondapsn.com/fiche...cles&mfg=Honda (The parts fiche is easy to use)

They were the place to buy OEM parts until Partszilla dropped there prices.

          Servicehonda is also higher shipping.

Here is here I just placed a $178 order for extra items to have on hand. http://www.partzilla.com/?gclid=CIGS...FYqPfgodvCEA0A

          BTW-Thanks-
now I have to order spare grommets too. I used my last two last week..lol

When I asked the local Honda dealer here for replacement grommets, they recommended the Big Bike grommet assortment pack for about $4.00. I think they work great.

Just got back from the local dealer, have not been in there for a couple years. Grommets do not come with lubricant, it is a dry experience. I looked around at the bikes and saw one other person only. Price for two grommets was 16.68 with no lubricant. Lol! Well ya can order them and pay 10 bucks shipping, I have a couple that need to be replaced.

Oh well...........Catch 22 pay the dealer or pay the postage.

Nice big showroom, lots of bikes, no customers.

You have free lubricant. Spit on them, they slide right on. When it dries, they won't slide any more.

If you are grossed out by spitting on them, lick you finger and apply liberally.

                      Never lose a grommet again.

I show my customers how to never lose a grommet again when I replace a missing one.

I use the small ty-wraps to secure each grommet to the bike. It makes the grommet tighter too.

If by chance you push a grommet through.Cut the ty-wrap and reinstall the grommet and replace the ty-wrap again. you'll never lose one again.

The long engine cover grommet gets glued onto the tab (Not the cover). I wet the outside of the grommet with a soapy solution I have on the shelf, and the cover slips right on.
