  • Got it repainted

Got tired of the red paint coming off on wax applicators and polishing rags so had it repainted and clear coated. The guy that painted it told me that is the color that won the indy 500 so it is faster than the red or black F6B.

Can we ask how much it cost you? Or more accurately, if we ask will you answer

(and, just to make sure I've got all the bases covered, if you're answer is "yes", consider this me asking!)

The cost was $2,000 flat and he did the disassembly and reassembly. Plus only took two weeks. I spent 22 years blending in with my surroundings, now I want to be the most obvious thing there.

Looks great...but ain't it some s**t that we have to pay the price that Honda wants for a bike & then have to pay someone to fix their F**k ups.

Congratulations on the repaint and having a unique bike ! My bike was white when it came from the factory. Now it is a custom blend of black with burgundy metallic flake. My Dad's was red. Now it's painted burgundy metallic from a 2009 Cadillac Escalade.... It's nice having the only bike on the road painted in the color you choose...... Kurt

                      Nice Job on the re-paint!!
Love your "stand-out" color too .. and thx for the pricing info.
Its only a matter of time before i get tired of the (tongue in cheek) "paint job" on mine .. before I re-paint/CC as well.

                            Looks GREAT!
It's too bad when you spend this much money for a bike, only to have to repaint it.

                            Honda should be ashamed.

I know after the bikes went back to Japan, people were waxing their new Goldwings and having color come off on their rags due to no clear coat. Has this problem been corrected?
