  • It's F6B Week! November 17 - 23

F6B Week is here. This week we focus on Honda's Goldwing bagger, the F6B, perhaps the most exciting product to come along in years. Invite your F6B riding buddies to join TheGLForum, post photos of your ride, and tell us what you love about your F6B!

Okay, all you F6B owners....and riders , it is officially time for F6B Week...kinda like Shark Week on TV, but on land, not at sea.

So...get busy showing your pictures, and telling your tales.

That appears to be an after market windshield, is that correct? Nice looking bike too.

The windshield is the Honda tall shield, much better than the shorty that came with it.

My compliments to Jeff, on a great looking bike, and in the Phast color (colour) too !

Here is a few pics of mine, a 2013 F6B. There have been a lot of mods done to this bike, listed below, as well as a complete rebuild of the electrical and audio systems, due to being hit by lightning, at 70 mph, on Sept. 5th, 2013. My local Honda dealer (that I trust) did the rebuild, and the bike runs perfect. It now has 45K miles on it, now using a Mich Alpin 3 run-flat, and I am very happy with this bike. Having owned 3 GL-1800s before this...I can do a direct comparison between the full Wings and the F6B. The F6B is "quick" and "nimble".

Here are some of the mods:

Powder-Coated Wheels: 90% high gloss Black
SoCalMotoGear Low-Beam HID lights, with EC cut-out relay
            PIAA Super White High-Beam bulbs
            Michelin Primacy Alpin 3 run-flat
            Kuryakyn Fork Brace
            Kuryakyn highway footpegs
Kuryakyn front fender running lights/turn signals, in place of the original reflectors
EC Single Shooter LED running lights, with Yellow lens
            Kuryakyn handlebar riser/setback kit
Kuryakyn Iso-Grips with palm rest...in Black
Garmin Zumo 550, mounted with RAM mounts on clutch resevoir
Valentine One radar detector, mounted with RAM mounts on front brake resevoir
V-1 wired into headset, via Sierra Electronics Intercom override unit.
Russell Day-Long Saddle, with Velour for rider seating area.
            Utopia backrest for rider
Aux. trunk mounted onto my won fabricated rack, over rear seating position.
Honda CB unit, integrated via the BikeMP3 F6B CB module, with 16" antenna from Sierra Electronics.
            Go Cruise manual cruise control
            Louvered Belly Pan
EC rear turn signal conversion kit LEDs...x 2.
WingBling Carbon Fiber "look" replacement panels on most of the bike....dash, side covers, saddlebag lowers, etc.
            Torq Master Daytona mufflers
            Torq Master Torq Loops
Muth "heated" mirrors with 7 LED light turnsignals built-in.
            Klock Werks Flare windshield
Carbon Fiber "look" wrapped front fairing piece
Smoked Front Turnsignal lights, with Amber bulbs
            K&N air filter
            NGK Iridium spark plugs
            Heated clothing controls
Tulsa air wings under the mirrors
EC lighted roundels under the Honda Winged emblem on each side of fairing, also serve as turnsignals too.

And, I am probably leaving out a few things.

MMR, that bike is nice. You must win the award for most mods to a F6B.

Jeff, what I really like about yours...is the ABS that you folks get up in Canada, that we "wish" we could get down here.

                  Jeff...

Thanks for posting the photo...Man that bike looks killer...I had my mind made up when I bought my wing...never gave the F6B any thought, but if I had to
do this over again... I would look really hard at one for sure. It would have to be black like yours... Again a really good looking Bike

Jeff, I love it. It is both "form" and "function" in one windshield. I did raise it UP as high as I could, as the stock height was too low for me, but the way the Flare diverts the air, and makes a big improvement on fuel mileage...compared to the Clearview windshield that was on my bike prior to this Klock Werks windshield...I am very pleased with it. I have suggested to Brain Klock that he make and sell these in two additonal heights....plus 2 inches, and plus 4 inches, as I think the stock height that Klock Werks makes now is a bit too low for most riders.

I would buy a +4 inch one in a heartbeat.
