  • Broadcasting my email?

While I do appreciate the informational email from this site, I don't appreciate the fact that actual email addresses were used to name the new members for the month of April. Why wasn't the nickname of the members used to do this?

Normally I wouldn't get upset, but when you look through the email names, I don't believe that "Freya@buyviagracialis.onlne", is actually a Goldwing rider, but now they have my email.

      Rocky,
I believe you missed my point. My email wasn't shared through the forum. It was included in the mass email sent out to members in the forum. The email seemed to be proud of the number of new members that joined in the month of April, and to announce them, instead of listing their nickname, their full email address was listed in the body of the forum's email.

I don't find anything in the settings where there is a choice to prevent my personal email being shared through a mass email. Is there any logical reason for sharing the members email addresses instead of their nickname, except for advertising reasons?

Have you looked through the list of addresses that was sent? The one I referenced in my original post is obviously fake.

      Thanks, for your time.
