Uploading pictures

I was trying to upload a picture to the grandkids thread and it says that the picture is to big. It is just a cell phone picture. Any suggestions?

If you have Windows, open it using MS Paint (included in Windows), and reduce it in size.

We're creatures of habit (I'm in the IT industry too). I've been known to write off a program that "doesn't do that", then not know that it's been updated. I once ticked off a rabid Mac user because I told my boss that one of the reasons I recommended against him outfitting the office was Macs was that if he decided against using the particular software (the only reason he was considering it) he'd be stuck with hardware that he couldn't use for anything. I'd forgotten that they'd moved from Motorola procs to Intel...
