Topics Per Page

I was wondering if there is a way to put more topics on a page as now there are only 10 spots per page and older topics soon get lost in the system. For example, if you have 45 topics you need to scroll through 5 pages to see all of them unless they have had a recent post.

and while we are at it, get rid of the at least 5 characters limit in replies. All I wanted to do was post the smilie.

I made this adjustment but I was actually talking about the number of threads in a particular category. When you open up for example the general motorcycle discussion you can only see 10 recent threads. It would be nice to have less pages of topics and more topics on one page so you can see them all just like we can change the number of posts on our end. I hope this makes sense.
