unable to send or recieve pm's

I can't receive or send private messages, it says its shut off. I can't find the setting to change it. Hoe do I change that setting? Thanks

I made a couple of changes, but I think there is a 300 message limit (receive). You might have to delete some old messages. Let me try to send you one.

Under User Settings > Account there is a radial button you can click to enable or disable Private Messaging. Not sure how that would have got turned off though.
