  • For those using Do Not Track Me application

The application (DoNotTrackMe), which is designed to prevent websites from tracking you was recently purchased by a company named Blur. All of a sudden I noticed that DoNotTrackMe had been replaced by Blur. Which on the surface would have been o.k., except it made my Internet Browser (Google Chrome) unstable.

I'm using DoNotTrackMe and Google Chrome no problems so far except the blue popup that comes up when I first get on the Internet. How does make it unstable? I'm very computer challenged.

On my PC the blue window would pop-up in an area I needed to work and would interfere. For example, it was blocking the Username/Password area to allow me to log into this site.

      Edit:
Pooch, I reinstalled it and it isn't doing that any longer. I cannot tell from reading their website whether or not they are going to start charging for it or not. Maybe they'll just charge for the Premium version.

For anyone using Firefox as their web browser, that "Do-Not-Track-Me" app is not needed. Just go into >Tools >Options >Privacy and then check the box that says "Tell sites that I do not want to be tracked".
