    Chris,

Why don't you change the forum to tapatalk. The usability of this format is terrible. The fee is only $69 a month for the build your own brand. Heck, you are at a 1000 users right now, send us a paypal bill for $3 a year.

Old fashioned, use the computer for forums. Use phone only for information. Don't need or want constant connectivity!

There a lot of people who mainly use their mobile devises to do just about everything. The new mobile devises are much larger and easier to use and are very handy for posting pictures or anything else while on the road. This is how MisterK posts up so many ride pictures while on the road I believe. No need to go home, download pictures and then put them on a forum which is probably why there are so few ride reports on this and other forums, because there are so many old school members, me included.

There is no question that a lot of folks like Tapatalk. It is a big subject on the vBCloud support forum. I suspect that they will be offering either support for Tapatalk in the future, or better mobile capabilities.

That will be great. I hope it not too distant.

Dave, you hit the nail on the head. I do my ride reports as I am going. Once I am home I am done with the report and don't want to type into a computer.

Tapatalk seems to be a very popular application. I see it on a lot of forums, so it would make sense to support it in my opinion. It might even draw in some new users.
For myself, I don't get it. I downloaded it to my iPad and to be honest, it just seem like an unnecessary additional layer to me. And most of the forums that I visit act close enough to the same on my iPad as they do on Safari on my desktop. When I use Tapatalk, it is in an unfamiliar format.

I don't think that the reason we don't have Tapatalk is because of Chris. I don't think that VBulletin has implemented support for it (yet) in this version of the software. I'll think it'll be here eventually...

Trust me. If it becomes available, I will the the first in line to implement it.

V Bulletin needs to be dropped anyway. Bunch of great guys here, but this site never works right, and without Tapatalk I only check it once a week or so. I know it costs money to change, but you want a top rated board, or you don't! It will never get there running 2nd rate software on slow servers. Sorry, it had to be said.

To say that this site never works right is simply unfair. It may not work the way you are used to, but it works. When the decision was made to go with the latest and greatest version of vBulletin instead of the same old version everyone else uses, we knew there would be some growing pains. But, there are a lot of good features to this new version. It also fit the vision of a NEW type of GL forum with a NEW attitude and a NEW software platform.

                      It will only get better.

I do not use tapatalk, see no need for it here. This site works fine. Sometimes a bit slow, which I see on many sites from time to time

I haven't had any problems with speed, but then I'm not very fast to begin with... (I usually type slow because I know most old codgers can't read very fast .)

Now that is an art all on it's own. Would this fall into the distracted drivers syndrome by any chance?

OK, I might have been exaggerating a little.

                            But just a little.
