Just wondering if it would be possible to add the same feature as GL1800Riders...when you make a post to a thread
it attaches a green circle with a white arrow in it ?

    Thanks John

I am bumping this up as I am looking for the same thing to see what threads I have posted in and not. Cruiseman, can we get some type of indicator to show if we have posted or not?

OK, sorry for the delay. The "other" forum uses 4.1.2 of vBulletin and we are using 5.1.2. Things work a bit differently in this new version and it takes a little getting used to. I am still learning this new version. To my knowledge, we are the only GL forum using the latest and greatest version.

So I assume since this is the newest and best version you will be able to learn a way to put on a green arrow or something to show us if we have posted in any particular thread? I understand the newness of everything.

And the newer software is and the more features it contains the steeper the learning curve.

Yes, it would be great to have what you are suggesting. It would also be nice to have a column on the "Todays Posts" page showing what board a thread came from (e.g., General Motorcycle Discussion, Trikes, Technical Discussion, etc). I understand it takes time, just want to keep this in the que.

Being the latest and greatest version of software does not make it great. Look at Window 8.0; remember Windows Vista? I think vBulletin Version 5.1.4 has a very long way to go.

There has to be a reason that a majority of forums are sticking to version 4.1.x

I asked the same question a while back.
I know that this new forum is still evolving, so I just try to be patient. It is quite workable as it is now, but I know it will get there eventually.

We just got an "upgrade" from vBulletin that added a Go To Top link at the bottom of the page that many have requested. However, they "broke" several other things. Right now I am unable to remove the F6B Week image from the Forums page because the Edit Page feature is broken. Waiting for a patch from vBulletin on that. I did not want you to think I had abandoned the site.

I guess you are correct. I have asked about this feature as have others since the beginning and still nothing happening. Every other forum I am on has this type of feature and it really helps when looking through threads to see if you have been participating or not. I see the smilies are still not working correctly after how many days.

I was thinking about the same thing, ref an indicator of some type showing what thread I posted on.

Also thanks for the tab "GO TO TOP" . I had noticed that it wasn't there previously and looked for another similar tab thinking I might be over looking it, it has happened before for me. Great tab and it saves time.

So I guess the "post read marker" will never be available using the software this site uses...What a shame...it makes viewing so much better

I agree. Sure wish we had that feature on this forum.

Good luck getting answers, I asked about the Quick Navigation Buttons almost 3 months ago and it has been totally ignored by the mods. Don't ask for feedback if your going to ignore it. That's one of the reasons why I don't come here very often any more.
