When you wish to "Reply" to a post, be aware that at the bottom of the post where you can select "Quote" "or "Comment", if you select Comment that it doesn't push the post back to the top. This could rain on your parade if you are waiting for someone to reply to a question you had, and no one ever seems to reply. If the person answering the question hits "Comment", you are just SOL unless you go back and check for comments...again, the post won't be pushed back to the top.

True. Comments do not "bump" the topic. Typically, Comments are only used if you wish to communicate something to the individual post that might otherwise take the thread "off-topic". It is actually a pretty cool feature that, when everyone gets used to it, should help keep replies "on topic".
For example, if you are reading this post and want to say something to me like "hey, let's get together for lunch", you could do that using a Comment rather than a Reply.
Or a better example, if you wanted to point out my lousy grammar or spelling, that is really "off-topic" and should go in as a Comment.Last edited by Cruiseman; 09-27-2014, 07:31 PM.GOLDWING AND F6B MAINTENANCE VIDEOS

Hmmm! That will take some getting used to. I was trying to follow a post earlier and after a couple of hours could not believe no one had replied. Turns out that there were several pertinent replies, but they were entered as comments so the post never got bumped.
Thanks to you both for the explanation.

I think the comment feature is one of the best features I am seen on this forum. I have not seen it implemented on any other forum. It really irritates me when threads go way off topic.-- John --

by wingleader09Chris, When you make a "Comment" within an existing post, is it counted as a post in your post count? I think I know the answer, but wanted an "official" ruling. Thanks.
