SIGNATURE GUIDELINES

You can have a signature appear at the bottom of each post. For new members, the signature allows the following:

• Up to 3 lines of text
• Images up to 300 pixels wide X 200 pixels tall

You are welcome to include the name or logo of your business in your signature:

• As long as your business does not compete with a paying vendor, and
• Is not a motorcycle-related business, and
• Is not so detailed (address, phone number, e-mail address, offer to send contact information via PMs, etc.) or so frequently appended to posts that it becomes inappropriate marketing and promotion

CREATING YOUR SIGNATURE

1. Select User Settings from the drop-down menu at the top right of the page, where your Username appears.


2. Click on the Account tab.


3. Scroll down to the Conversation Detail Options.

4. Click the Edit Post Signature

The Edit Signature Dialog will be displayed.

5. Type your information in the text area provided

6. You can enhance the text in your signature by selecting the Advanced Editor icon. A format palette with a variety of options will be displayed.

Warning! Do not use the Image Upload icon on the Advanced Edit formatting palette

7. If you wish to include an image in your signature, click the Attachments icon.

You will notice two new buttons appear at the bottom of the dialog. Click the Upload Attachments to locate a picture on your computer and have it uploaded to TheGLForum.com server and appear in your signature.

Note: Members are allowed to have graphics no larger than 300 px wide X 200 tall. 100 Club Members, 500 Club Members and Supporting Vendors are allowed larger signature graphics.

The issue with the signature attachments has been fixed. Please try again!

Perhaps this has already been mentioned, but it would be nice if a posters location was the title box. Many times, I find myself looking to see where a poster is from to understand the context of the post, but then have to click on their ID to find this information. Just a suggestion ...
