Can you do it with an internal micro-SD chip?

It's all a matter of trust, unfortunately...

So, if all of the data was in the phone, the people at the phone place should have offered to xfer the data; they would have the adapter(s) needed to USB one phone to the other.

At least with Verizon...you can either have Verizon store your data -or- the way I've done it for a while now; Android (e.g. Google) has stored my data for the last three phones now.

My wife had a hodge-podge of places things were stored; had to get her to pick someplace, have all her data put there, *then* fire up the new phone, and magically, it all transfered.

New phone *should* have some software that may be able to read what's stored on the old phone, but you then have to interconnect between them.

The people at AT&T couldn't help me, they said find an app to transfer the data(contacts& pictures) I can some apps on one phone but not the other. The old phone is a Nokia Lumia(windows) and the new phone is a Kyocera Duraforce (android). Several of the apps I tried said I had to make a new email account, why should I have to do that?

Ooooh...and that may well be the problem - Windows phones don't play well in the sandbox with others, which is one of the reasons they're not popular at all.

Now, an Android phone will request a Google email address. If you already have one, use that when you set up the phone. This is one of the ways the various programs recognize it's you as the owner of the phone.

Unfortunate, but there's going to be a little bit of effort needed for the transfer to happen, for the reason I mentioned earlier.

Find you a niece, nephew, or grandchild to assist. Not meaning that as a slight by any means, but it's gonna take a bit.

Apple (iOS) and Google (Android) have had the means to interact a bit better than this for some time now.

          Luck to ya, Jim!

Below is the advice I received from a friend, but, I agree with Ken. Find a niece, nephew or grandchild to figure out how to use these instructions.

"It requires hooking the phones up to a computer. Copy old file to computer and then depending what type phone / app on how you move to new phone. If it is android you would just paste to new phone. Other ways are to import to google/yahoo/outlook, but don’t know his email app."
