I would love to get into this, but alas that is dangerous ground. So let me just say, there is little common sense in life and the school systems today. Saying Bless you or asking for a prayer on behalf of someone is cool, certainly cannot hurt anyone. With so many things of violence and hate in the world today, one would think some would use their education for more than a hat rack.

We got into a deal today, had some business in a Federal Building and my wife had a very small pair of suture scissors in her purse, I thought there for a bit we were going to have to walk the plank, or go to jail for ten days. Lol. Kinda like the small girl who had a paring knife in her lunch box......that was surely a serious crime.

None of these people have any sense, they became too educated.

What was so hard to understand was there is a 55 gallon trash can behind the security people, we told them, just toss the things, nope, cannot throw them away, have to document them, photograph them and then you have to throw them away outside the building. Gee............what can I say, it is the government and there is no common sense there at all. Someone might get hold of those tiny scissors and overpower the entire security force. Gosh!!

Next stop was the V.A. up till now it was a mess. Things have changed, I was impressed. I decided that as we are approaching retirement times, I would go get signed up just in case I fall off the motorcycle and that went fast and efficient. I tole em, this is only for an emergency, I do have duct tape and rags for minor injuries. Evidently a combat vet now is not income limited. That is kinda nice just in case. The attitude though is self defeating, as it was indicated to come at least twice a year for something, a bit like those who have lots of debt can get more credit cards, those without debt are limited, so come as the more you come the more you can get. That seems self defeating to me.

A couple ideas for discussion, outside that one that causes sane people to become insane.

My wife and I made the decision well before my Daughter was old enough to be enrolled in school that we would put her into a private church run school. We had to do without a number of things from that point until she graduated High School and there were many times that we questioned why we were doing it, but then stories like this one would pop up and it all became clear again!

It really angers me that my tax dollars go to pay the salary of teachers like this one.
