It's funny. Originally, "they" said that wasn't happening (and even implied that it couldn't happen). When they were called out in with proof, they changed the settings and stopped doing it (though they never apologized to 530ktm for basically calling him a liar). I think it's hilarious that they've had to resort to doing it again.

I contacted the moderator(s), they claimed innocence. Telling me this was the work of the owners. I contacted the owners, and they claimed it definitely the act of a moderator(s). Apparently someone is/was telling 'untruths'.

Those who with intelligence challenge certain things to the point those challenged cannot intelligently defend themselves, do cause the challenged to run to cry. Many who have simply shown intelligence have been put into ghost accounts where no message of being banned is given, no warnings, just exactly as stated you try to sign in and your account is in error.

The reason is they assign your account a bogus email. That throws it all into the automatic software that sorts such things out with the flash cookie embedded in your account. The software see you as a bot or none human trying to access the account.

That was one of their favorite tactics.

I know exactly who was doing that, but that is water under the bridge, time to move on.

Wow! This is the first of heard of exactly how this was being done. I had the "account error" happen to me. I created a temp ID and posted about it, and a tech from VS fixed it. It re-occurred right after my next posting. I created a new temp ID (the previous one had been banned, and the thread deleted), and VS fixed it again. Next time I posted, I was simply banned with no reason given.

My problems started when I posted that the lone moderator (at the time) Bartman, had engaged in the same silly name-calling he was banning others for. Not saying he was the culprit, but the timing was suspicious to say the least.

It's beyond me why VS, or any sponsor, would put up with that type of nonsense from their moderators. Surely they realize that word gets out eventually? Once something like that is revealed, a board might start loosing members...

Pearlblue welcome, hope all is well in your world. Bartman gave me a seven day ban for posting a religious joke but they haven't banned me permanently yet however I have been posting very little there and trying to behave. Good to hear of you.......Wing_it
