  • Poor Mercedes

Coming home tonight I saw a older Mercedes 4 door with 8 2X4s tied to the roof. Poor car. What some people do.

Just think about the things that have been done or not done that you can not see.

Oh yea. Like the saying, some things once seen can never be unseen.

8 2x4's is hardly over loading a car. I would have no problem doing it if that's what it took. I fail to see a problem with it. It's a car.

Maybe a yugo or something. No it was not overloaded, but the way it was tied on was very unstable. I see enough furniture products roadside now - it is not like we need more hazards out there. Actually, I am surprised the lumber yard let them do that as usually they are fairly careful about stuff like that.

I don't see a car as a lumber hauler, too many bad things can happen.

I could give a rats rear end about the guys Mercedes, I avoid following people like this because they look armature and I don't trust their ability to secure a load.

Jeeze, Just commenting about the use of the car which happened to be a Benz. You just don't see that every day. Seen chevy impalas and come to remember Dodge Durangos or two doing that once or twice. That wasn't you was it flyq68? Lol

Naw, not me, although the Durango does have a roof rack. Probably is uncommon to see stuff tied to the roof of a Benz. As for the Impala, I think the common roof load for them would be a mattress or two. LOL
