  • And another Hog Leg!!

Just could not pass this one up either, going to Variable Scope the Ruger RedHawk 44 and put a Red Dot Optic on this one! I have shot all my life, but had never had my interest piqued in the large calibers till lately. Found a good deal on this Raging Bull 44 mag, and just had to have it.

Cannot go wrong with either a Aimpoint or Eotech. Both great Red Dots.

On the 44 mags. I have never taken a animal with a Handgun, I want to give it whirl. So I am going to put a Variable Scope on the Redhawk 44 and a RedDot on the Raging Bull 44.

Just in case someone is interested in a 22 mag semi auto pistol. I just ran across a Kel-tec PMR 30 for $500. They say they have 2 left.. In the past the only place I've seen them is in Gunbrokers. They are a little high in price MSRP is $415. If interested here's the link.

Those Kel-Tec PMR's are one sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet pistol ddubya, I have shot one and they are nice!

As far as the 44 mags are going, I have never had the inkling to have a bigger caliber pistol like these two recent 44 mags I picked up. But I am enjoying them in a semi painful way, they are a tad rough on the arthritis and pins in my wrists. LOL! But BAM do they hit hard at what they hit!!!

I have wanted one of the PMR's since they came out, but alas right now I'm going to have to wait I just got a glock 19 couple days ago, other wise there would be only one left at Clydes. I know that Clydes Armory is ok to do business with as I have bought 3 colt 45's from them.

Rick I do really like your 44's but the kick and cost of ammo holds me back. Whenever I get a new caliber I like to load up on ammo so that I've got extra when it gets hard to get.

Rick, your post title reminds me of an old joke I once heard....

A young boy was visiting his grandpa's farm. While there, he noticed that one of grandpa's pigs had a wooden peg leg. When he asked his grandpa about it he was told, "Boy, that there is one special pig! That pig saved our entire family. One night the house caught fire, and that pig saved our lives by waking us all up."

"Wow grandpa! That is a special pig, but why does he have a wooden leg?"

Grandpa went on, "That there is one special pig. Another time I was out plowing the back forty on my tractor, and the tractor tipped over in the mud, pinning my leg under it. I would have been there forever if that pig had not come along, seen my predicament, and gone to get help. Yep,that there is one special pig."

Again the boy responded "Wow grandpa! That is a special pig, but tell me, why does he have a wooden leg?"

Grandpa pulled the boy close and whispered in his ear, "Son, when you find a special pig like that, you don't eat him all at once!"

I am the same way on stocking up on ammo. And 44 is non existent around here, but have managed to round up a little over 400 rounds, but bad thing is all of it is hunting ammo and will use some of it to sight in the Scopes I am putting on them, then reload the brass for target practice, till the ammo gets back on the shelves, but do have a lead on some empty brass as well.

And hey, you cannot go wrong on them Glocks! I am a GLOCK BOY myself, love em, own several, carry every day, only pistols I own except the two 44's, and if Glock would make a Revolver 44mag, I would own nothing but Glocks!! LOL!!

I don't know how long or if I can hang with the 44's, I do have pins in my wrists and arthritis as well, but so far not to bad. Never have had a inkling for big calibers or have even owned them before these two, they are a blast of fun tho!
