Being that this is a new forum, I was just wondering what the limits are. For example, if I say **** you and the horse you rode in on". Is that permissible?

If you are an average decent person then I suspect you will be civil....
If you need a rule suggestion, don't post anything here that you would not say to anyone face to face; and imagine the person your face to face with is a 6'4" retired Navy Seal...

For some people, participating on a forum board is a way to lead a double life. For example, a mild mannered guy in real life might act like a real badazz jerk when he's protected by the anonymity of the internet. The simple guideline I follow is that I don't type/say anything here that I would not want my wife or kids to read.Ron

Hey, that is my saying! Your plagiarizing! We do have some ladies that are participants, and as in real life, I try to keep it down in front of the ladies! That being the words!! LOL!"""""""Darksider #10 It's been said by many people, that I am still only 16 years old inside my head!! LOL!!

Really?? Some common sense should prevail here! I can't imagine any site, new or old, that would allow ignorant comments like that directed to another member!

Do not the asterisks connote a word that all know what it means? Then you may as well use the word. I would say absolutely not. Total lack of class.2007 Crucible Orange Metallic

I'm a bit confused, and concerned. I can understand the attraction to me - though firmly entrenched into middle age, I'm still a ruggedly handsome guy, full of wit and good humor, and have even been called "charming" by some.
But, my horse??? Yuck...

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to my post regarding use of the expression "**** you and the horse you rode in on".
However, I was wondering about something.
If the pronoun "you" is plural instead of singular; would it not be a general attack instead of a personal attack in which case, it would be permissible? Is that correct?

by PapaHooshIt seems lot of folks moved from the other forum to here I myself included. What I noticed is some of the posting turned ugly and hostile (not to naming anyone). Could the same issue happens here?
